I am a partner in the law firm, Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP and practice Immigration Law in Chicago. I lecture and publish extensively on this subject and my client base is national and worldwide. I also teach international human rights and US refugee law at Northwestern University. My law practice involves the representation of individual, corporate and university clients in a broad range of immigration matters. Many of those represented are professors, researchers and scientists who apply for permanent residence as outstanding researchers and professors, and via national interest waiver and extraordinary ability alien petitions. In addition, my practice involves the representation of other professionals and individuals in a wide-range of nonimmigrant visa matters, as well as family based immigration involving permanent residence and applications to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, asylum, removal, naturalization, consular processing, and other complex areas of immigration law.
