The Bureau of Neighborhood Empowerment (BNE) was established in 2014 as a key strategy to build the City’s low and moderate income neighborhoods from the ground up by addressing issues surrounding affordable and mixed income housing, education and youth development, immigrant, veteran, LGBT and challenged populations, nonprofit and faith-based community initiatives, small business development, economic opportunity, and equity and inclusion in the City of Pittsburgh.►Collaborated with City Councilman Ricky Burgess and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Hospital Wage Review Committee that secured an increase to the minimum entry-level hourly pay from $11.73 to $15.00 by 2021.►Selected as a delegate to represent the City of Pittsburgh for the “Policy Links Equity Summit 2015,” which resulted in the creation of a comprehensive “Sustainable Equitable Plan” for the City of Pittsburgh. ►Appointed to special task force with City Council to rewrite City Code 177A to address the internal contract review process and operations for the city.►Successfully implemented B2GNOW Diversity Management Software program through strategic collaboration with various city departments and government authorities.Awards* Leadership Pittsburgh Class (2015)* "Resource Partner of the Year," Eastern Minority Supplier Diversity Council (EMSDC)

Anchored in more than 10,000 communities, the Y has long-standing relationships and physical presence to promise and deliver lasting personal and social change.►Proactively managed the vision, strategy, and execution for daily operations while leading a team of 9 direct reports and 53 staff members that ensured the success of the social services department, wellness facilities, and a broad array of youth programs.►Maintained $2.3 million budget that consisted of government, foundation, volunteers and membership driven revenue funding. Reduced approved deficit budget by 56%, resulting in $288,000 savings in operational overhead costs.►Strategically formed new community partnerships and program initiatives throughout Allegheny County that led to increased services in the communities of: Homewood, East Liberty, East Hills, Wilkinsburg, and Penn Hills.►Recognized with the “Proclamation of Service” award for assembling a successful Senior Fair in collaboration with Pennsylvania State Representative, Edward C. DHS has been meeting the human service needs of Allegheny County residents since 1997 through an extensive range of information exchange, prevention, early intervention, case management, crisis intervention and after care services.►Provided technical leadership and operational oversight for 11 contract and vendor service providers; ensured that all program specifications were in compliance with the state guidelines governing Drug and Alcohol Program.►Reviewed and accounted for $6 million of agency’s allocations to ensure funds and services were properly applied to the appropriate level of client care.►Partnered with Executive Directors and Management Staff to review census activity, staff credentials, evaluated client files, and confirmed proper tracking of funds.►Prepared comprehensive reports to communicate findings with Bureau Management; served as key liaison between agency, facility and Executive Directors to resolve non-compliance issues.

Woodland Hills School District is a public school district located in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, serving twelve municipalities in the Pittsburgh area; provides basic educational services to 4,865 pupils through the employment of 400 teachers, 162 full-time and part-time support personnel.►Commanded an aggressive sustainment and enhancement strategy that prevented the closure of 5 “After School” Community Centers. ►Acquired an $800,000 grant from the Department of Education that allowed for continued operations and programming that subsequently led to the procurement of an additional $400,000, which allowed for significant development of existing programs within the community centers. ►Directed operations and budget management for the 5 Centers that employed 25 Teachers/Tutors and 6 Peer Mentors who oversaw 250+ school aged children daily.
