I am a microbiology student looking into pursuing grad school. I'm currently looking for research and internship opportunities, and am particularly interested in cancer biology. I love to work with others and find that I function best in an environment centered around collaboration and communication.Through engaging with the HHMI funded SEA-phages program, I work with a small team to isolate, purify, and amplify bacteriophages with a goal of eventually extracting and cataloguing DNA. As a captain of my debate team in highschool, I gained leadership experience by teaching younger members public speaking and debate fundamentals, as well as organizing and planning meetings. I also developed skills in data organization and prioritization. I have extensive customer service experience in the food industry, where I learned how to think on my feet and adapt to the everchanging needs of both the customers and the business. As a barista, I was entrusted with opening, closing and operating the store alone as well as recording finances.
