Working as a Field Engineer/Assistant Project Manager for Great Southwestern Construction gave me the opportunity to take both a hands on approach to gather knowledge of best construction practices , as well as gaining insight into the operations side of construction projects. I was chosen to be part of a management team for the newly formed division of Great Southwestern Construction, MYR Transmission Services Canada contracted to construct a 230kV AC Switchyard located in Northern Manitoba. This position required multiple skills in order to achieve success with the vast amount of responsibilities it carried, including braving the harsh conditions that came with the project location being north of the 55th parallel.

Performed Project Management for a small custom fabrication shop located in Denver CO. I began my employment as a member of the fabrication team and quickly worked my way up into management while creating a safety and quality minded culture throughout the company. Multiple duties were performed in this role included material take offs and procurement, scheduling of multiple jobs in concurrence, reporting progress to owner and clients, as well as day to day management of operations.
