I joined Superior to assist in the growth of the business intelligence practice. In addition to project work I regularly assisted my peers on solution design and other project challenges.Leading Online University - I worked as the solution architect on a companywide self-service business intelligence initiative. The capability used Analysis Service 2012 Tabular models, Power Pivot and SharePoint to deliver relevant data to every department in the organization.I worked with developers, project managers and business analysts, reviewing solution design, developing project deliverables and establishing project design and scope.I also worked on several specific self-service initiatives for various departments in the company developing Power Pivot and Tabular model data sources and working with power users to help them generate their own analysis solutions.

As a Corporate Sponsorship Chair I was responsible for managing corporate sponsorship relationships with the user group, finding new sponsors for each monthly meeting and working with sponsor representatives leading up to each meeting.

As I consultant with RBA I worked on many business intelligence and SQL Server projects spanning the entire breath of the Microsoft Business Intelligence platform (SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS).I also assisted the business development team on many pre-sales engagements leading product demonstrations, providing potential clients with platform capability information as well as providing project estimates on a number of successful initiatives.I served as the architect and primary developer on a project to perform a complete migration from IBM Cognos to Microsoft Business Intelligence. The project was projected save that client an estimated 250% on business intelligence costs over 5 years and utilized the entire Microsoft Business Intelligence platform including a SQL Server data warehouse, Analysis Services cubes, and used SharePoint and Excel as the primary end-user analysis tools.I worked closely with the enterprise architecture team of a Fortune 100 Retailer to create a solution architecture the implementation of a Microsoft Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW).

I was promoted to Team Lead after less than two years with the W3i to help lead the strategic future of the Business Intelligence capability as the company opened new business initiatives in the mobile and social media industries. My primary responsibilities were leading the design, implementation and on-going support for a large-scale data warehouse and reporting infrastructure that supported both existing and emerging businesses.I acted as a mentor helping to develop junior team member’s business intelligence skills to expand the development capabilities of the entire team.

I started at W3i as a database administrator but moved into a business intelligence developer role after a short time to help meet the growing demand for BI within the company.My responsibilities included data warehouse architecture, cube implementation, reporting, and data analytics. I worked extensively with the Microsoft BI platform including SQL Server, Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS) and Reporting Services (SSRS).
