I am president of Executive Leadership Group, Inc. based in Colorado and blog at www.elg.net/blog. I help senior leaders solve organizational problems and achieve their strategic goals. As a psychologist, my background in behavioral and organizational psychology has been useful with that, as well as with org design.My firm’s catch phrase is “Giving wings to great visions.” So, we prefer clients who (a) have a vision, and (b) actually want it to happen. Our strategic planning and execution process assumes that.In addition to consulting, I’ve served in a variety of academic settings, including 10 years as curriculum advisor to the Center for Executive Education at the Naval Postgraduate School, where I also taught strategic planning and execution. I've also taught for the Haas School of Business (UCal, Berkeley), the Daniels School of Business and University College (University of Denver), and Joint Special Operations University. I completed my Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Kansas, with a dissertation on organizational applications of behavioral reinforcement theory. My master’s degree in education is from University of Denver.Clients have included Chase, Sunoco, Zurich Life, Denver Post, May Company, Microsoft, Qwest, Molson-Coors, ING, US Navy, US Army, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, FEMA, NSA, U.S. Naval Institute, and Georgia Tech Research Institute.I write for leaders. I’ve have co-authored three books in the areas of psychology and communication, as well as chapters for two management texts. For two years Wendi Peck and I wrote a column in the Denver Business Journal. We contributed to Stanford Press', Business Driven Information Technology: Answers to 100 Critical Questions for Every Manager.
