These contracts include federal acquisitions of both goods and services, where I provide advice through the entire process, including proposal preparation, protests, contract performance, subcontracts, and changes. I also advise on contracts with state and local governments and with suppliers and distributors. I conduct investigations when necessary, interviewing relevant parties, reviewing the law, and writing reports of investigation. I also advise on employment law, mergers and acquisitions, pharmaceutical licensing, medical device compliance (including U.S. FDA and European Union CE regulations), and an array of issues that face a diverse and fast-growing enterprise. I continue to serve as an officer and leader at Joint Base Charleston, SC for the 315th Airlift Wing. As teh Deputy Staff Judge Advocate, I help military commanders untangle the complex legal issues they face. In addition, I help our military reserve and guard members overcome the unique legal issues presented by balancing civilian and military life.

From the drafting and review of multi-million dollar contracts to litigating complex business disputes, I helped businesses and individuals advance and protect their interests. With years of litigation experience, I enabled businesses to understand and preemptively address the risks associated with their operations. If litigation was necessary, I provided zealous representation in mediation, depositions, and at trial.

I served as the only criminal defense attorney for Airmen stationed in Turkey, and as part of a small team defending Airmen across Europe. In this job, I zealously defended Airmen in approximately 20 jury trials across Europe, ensuring our nations's heros were protected by the constitution they swore to defend. I even traveled to Afghanistan to defend Airmen at trial who were accused of crimes in combat zones. No matter the time, place, or situation, I provided fierce representation.

In this role, I worked to provide expert counsel to Active Duty military and retirees regarding the often complex legal challenges they faced in everyday life. This ranged from estate planning to protecting them from difficult landlords when faced with deployment. I worked diligently to ensure those who served our nation were afforded the full benefit of the laws they fought to defend.

As the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review I acted as the Chief Executive Officer. I managed the day-to-day operations of the Law Review, helped solicit articles, and edited articles for publication. I was also responsible for facilitating the publication of our two annual journals and our annual symposium. The symposium during my tenure as Editor-in-Chief dealt with evidentiary matters facing lawyers and ethical concerns regarding prosecutorial discretion.

Researched and wrote legal memorandums on issues such as government contracts, labor law, and international operations law. Assisted in preparation of charges under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and wrote memorandums advising Squadron Commanders on Article 15s.

Teaching Assistant to Professor Bruce Burton in his classes involving real estate transactions, finance, and the law that governs the properly we own. In this job I developed a deep understanding of how the law affects our rights in property interests.

Tracked pro bono hours and prepared reports to be submitted to the State to secure grant allocations. Prepared a proposal for a continuing education program conducted by Pisgah Legal Services for qualification by the NCBA to be recognized as a certified continuing legal education program.

Intern to the U.S. Mission to the United Nations: Bureau of Diplomatic Security. I conducted security briefings, acted as a liaison with various law enforcement agencies, and provided assistance to the security details at the U.S. Mission and with the Ambassador. I also attended various sessions at the United Nations as a representative of the United States. Lastly, I was responsible for maintenance of certain classified documents.
