I then wrote a report suggesting the appropriate action to be taken for each asset with regards to short and long term maintenance.I also completed a design task, in which I was briefed with creating a footbridge that was cost-effective, safe and sustainable. I researched materials and regulations, settling on a combination of FRP and steel, before finalising my design on SketchUp and producing a series of renderings. I finished my internship by presenting my project and overall experience to the Graduate Programme and their manager at a regional meeting.
