I was selected as a research intern for the Medical College of Wisconsin's Advancing Student Potential for Inclusion through Research Experiences (ASPIRE) program's Summer 2023 cohort . During my time at MCW, I had the opportunity to work in the Benjamin Lab under the supervision of Dr. Ivor Benjamin. Here, I focused on researching myocardial fibrosis and specifically, investigated how statins influence fibroblast-myofibroblast trans-differentiation independent of WNT Signaling, contributing valuable insights to the field.
