At Solow Literary I acted as a key liaison between authors, publishers, publicists, designers, and marketing teams; this involved full project management of the book development process for clients from conception through publication. On the back end I developed agency policy on digital book rights and built operations for centralizing, monitoring, and leveraging available subsidiary rights for clients. I also designed and maintained all essential agency schedules, tracking revenue, due royalty statements, client bonuses, and in-print statuses. Creatively my scope involved writing, editing, and promoting all forms of copy, from full book proposals to client pitch letters to online marketing spots. Starting as an Executive Assistant in March 2008, I became an Editor in December 2009 and then took the reigns as Manager, Editorial and Subsidiary Rights in November 2010.

Rotated through five departments, including Subsidiary Rights, Marketing, Editorial, Publicity, and Children’s Editorial. Edited manuscripts, designed and executed promotions, and performed a spectrum of administrative tasks.

Throughout college I worked directly with celebrity clients to develop manuscripts and secure contributors. Soon after my promotion from Intern to Editor in 2005, I hired and managed a full-time assistant and consequently double our number of active agency projects. A highlight of my time at Bill Adler was a six-month stint living and working in London, where I researched and interviewed dozens of sources for a book project in collaboration with a UK-based co-editor.
