The Ameritas Financial Center is a Nebraska based group of Ameritas representatives who are committed to providing extraordinary service to their clients. There are approximately 15 local agents with each bringing a unique skill set to the organization. This allows the opportunity to brainstorm and discuss individual situations prior to making recommendations to clients. Representatives have anywhere from 1 – 35 years of experience in the financial services industry. My duties include serving as the Investment Specialist for the organization. I help to educate new agents by focusing on confidence, competency & compliance. In addition, I consult with agents on portfolio management, financial plan design/implementation & product application.Additionally, I serve on the Broker/Dealer Task Force for the Ameritas Life Insurance Co and partifipated in the Social Media Pilot Project for AIC.

I operated as half of a silo'd team with my Father, Don Wittler with our primary focus of providing financial and wealth planning to individuals, families and the businesses they own and operate, In addition, we provided specialized sales of municipal bonds to both institutional (commercial banks, trust departments and Registered Investment Advisers (RIA) as well as retail clients to support the Capital Markets Group/Investment Bank of Ameritas Investment Corp.

As an Investment Officer at a community-based bank, I was in charge of restarting the investment division that had been dormant. My duties included portfolio construction and implementation, as well as portfolio reviews with clients. I also served in a high-profile position where I represented the bank in community events to raise the organizational profile. Additionally, I sat on the Bank Lending Committee and was responsible for cross-selling other bank products to existing & potential clients.

I began my career as a Commercial Loan Officer primarily serving production agriculture and agribusiness customers. Shortly before my 2nd anniversary with the bank I founded the CSB Investment Center, a stand-alone division of the bank, and built it from scratch. Subsequently I expanded the division to an additional location in central Nebraska, before relocating back to my hometown. Responsibilities included client review, portfolio construction & management, client attraction & retention for the division & greater bank. Further, I managed marketing, financial reporting, employees & compliance services for the division at all bank locations.
