I am an experienced software development manager with 12 years development experience, 7 years of that spent leading teams. I have experience leading multiple internal teams at once, working with external remote contractors, and handling projects ranging from small processes to large scale applications. The majority of my leadership experience has involved full ownership of the development projects, with minimal guidance or supervision, working with stakeholders directly to get requirements, create development plans, and then finally working with the teams to build the things. I am used to regularly interfacing with managers and executives to plan and support applications as needed. I have worn many hats, including five years of doing project management for one of my teams (managing the board/creating tickets/running daily standups/running sprint planning and sprint reviews/etc). I also have experience writing documentation, handling support of production applications, and other general things that teams might need in their day to day. I’m used to picking up new technology quickly as it’s needed, and feel confident about hopping into new environments, codebases, and working with new people.
