• Helped build web application that improved oil refinery process, through storing critical oil information (i.e. temperature & pressure measurements of oil) from tags attached to specific parts of the oil refinery machine in PostgreSQL database– Fed database data to machine learning algorithms that recommended decisions for workers operating oil refinery ma- chine to produce high quality oil for commercial use• Developed backend APIs and services in Java with Spring framework (Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA) to ingest time se- ries data of critical oil information stored in Amazon S3 buckets– Subsequently mapped data to CSV format from JSON format(using Jackson ObjectMapper) for client readability and to monitor for safety and quality of refined oil• Developed other APIs and services to retrieve metadata from tag information stored in PostgreSQL database and map to Data Transfer Objects (DTO) for clients to view• With Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology, developed around 50 unit tests and integration tests to develop robust- ness of backend APIs and test integrity of web application
