I study Computer Information Systems and Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity at The University of Texas at Dallas. I wish to understand how technology works in a corporate setting and how that technology can be either maintained or upgraded to suit the needs of an industry.In high school, I took classes that taught me how to configure network equipment and gain hands-on experience in network management and configuration. I obtained industry certifications like the CompTIA ITF+ and the Cisco Certified Support Technician Cybersecurity (CCST) certification. I also collaborated with a team to present a hypothetical network solution to a Cisco Solution Engineer. This taught me how to collaborate with others and develop problem-solving skills while preparing me for the practical aspects of network design and implementation.I have always been fascinated with how technology interacts with the world and connects with others. As a kid, my parents gave me a laptop, and I was always watching videos to see dozens of people interacting with each other or talking online about any topic. Seeing all these people from all around the world form meaningful connections with each other sparked a passion, unlike anything I had ever known.As I continue my academic and professional journey, I aim to connect with more industry professionals, collaborators, and fellow students who share my passion for technology as I do. My goal is to explore opportunities and hone my skills to ensure that I can guarantee that I can contribute to creating a safer, more secure digital space for everyone around the world.
