I started my career in Oceanographic Research, holding roles of increasing responsibility in Electronic Assembly, Engineering, and Testing and Quality Assurance. I then joined a power regulation company where I worked in Sustaining, Manufacturing and Component Engineering. During this time I obtained my Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement certification. After I played a key role in implementing computer networking, email and calendaring for the engineering team I was assigned the role of overseeing the implementation of computer technology throughout the entire organization and eventually assumed a leadership role in managing IT operations globally. This involved server, desktop and mobile device management as well as LAN/WAN connectivity, email and telephony support.
