Flemington Racecourse is a year round event venue. The racecourse is renowned for delivering a world class racing events calendar, including the Melbourne Cup Carnival and is also the ideal venue for weddings, exhibitions, conferences and gala events. This role focuses on pro-active development of new customer relationships and account management of existing relationships to ensure continual increases in event sales.

South Yarra

Working in a centralised sales office and in effective communication with venue based teams, I was responsible for leading a team of pro-active sales achievers and account managers to provide event sales across the Peter Rowland Catering portfolio of venues.

Melbourne Museum is an iconic tourist attraction offering daily access to the public as well as opportunities for private and corporate clients as a unique events space. In this role I was responsible for the management of all catering operations incorporating event sales, event management, cafe and restaurant operations and leading a team of 60.I delivered a successful pop-up restaurant for 'A Day In Pompeii' exhibition during a period of record results in sales. I was also directly involved in tendering for the contract with Museum Victoria leading to a successful re-negotiation.

A luxury resort island in the Whitsundays offering premium accommodation and unique event spaces. The island is naturally a perfect wedding location, however was also a highly sought after location for conferences and incentive trips. I effectively managed the event sales and operations team of 50 and delivered a 75% increase in event revenue and a 100% increase on average spend per wedding guest.
