• Developed and communicated MDHA’s overall strategic plan with community stakeholders including MDHA residents, the Mayor’s Office, Metro Council, state and federal officials, and private sector groups who are engaged in affordable housing efforts.• Assisted with the development and financing of MDHA’s “Envision Process”, which is a plan to transform six legacy low-income housing sites covering 235 acres in the core of the city into mixed-income and mixed-use neighborhoods by replacing the 3,153 existing subsidized housing units on a one-for-one basis, adding approximately 800 additional subsidized housing units and approximately 6,000 new workforce and market-rate housing units as well as various community amenities and commercial assets.• Coordinated with non-profit and for-profit affordable housing developers and financiers in the Nashville market, including the Barnes Fund, which provides gap financing for non-profit housing developers.• Developed new business and resource opportunities to support MDHA’s core mission.

Worked under three mayors to recruit companies to Nashville, help existing businesses expand here, make the environment in the city conducive to long-term economic growth and ensure that every Nashvillian has the opportunity to participate in the success of the city.Recruited numerous companies to the city including Amazon, AllianceBernstein, Lyft, Philips, Warner Music and Warby Parker. Also worked with companies that expanded operations in the city such as HCA, Bridgestone, UBS, Asurion and AIG. During my time in this role, the unemployment rate in Davidson County fell from 8.1% to 2.0% and the city announced more than 42,000 new jobs.

Worked with NEST-TN, a TNInvestco, to identify and evaluate venture capital investment opportunities for small businesses (<100 employees) in Tennessee.

Advised public and private companies as well as private equity firms on mergers & acquisitions and raising capital. Worked on transactions in the healthcare, transportation, industrials, consumer, and TMT sectors.
