During my entire teaching and working life I have been working with this technology driven approach. Not technology as a goal in itself, but always serving 'a purpose': Learning and mastering something new.... Actually I am a missionary of 'enduring education', using your own zeal to learn taking advantage of anything around you to enhance your knowledge and skills. In the 21st century, that means taking advantage of global ICT environment: Hardware, Software, Social Media, Internet, Smartphones, Apps .....I have been teaching at universities, colleges and secondary education since 1972. Helping my colleagues to implement IT and Web based tools in teaching and trying to create 'good practice' applications.An example is my Internet Toolbox for Chinese:http://www.symbaloo.com/mix/2398-NEWBIESAn example of my 'time released Internet resources' for a specific International Business School sudent group.It consists of a set of Internet links that are didactically arranged in such a way, that the set can easily be used for specific groups of learners of Mandarin Chinese of any level: 'zero' up-to 'very advanced'.Users of the toolbox can participate dynamically in the enhancement of it: they can add & delete links and share this customized web mix.The toolbox has now evaluated to a package of tailor-made collections of links geared to a specific group of learners,For example, students going for their placement or study to Chinese speaking areas and need an introduction to Mandarin Chinese. Business persons visiting their Chinese partners or potential clients would be offered a completely different set of links.
