Christopher Wingert is an executive recruitment consultant, musician, and teacher working with not-for-profit performing arts organizations throughout the United States. He has been professionally involved in music, arts management, theatre, and arts education for more than 20 years. He joined the Catherine French Group in 2005 where he serves as consultant to performing arts and education organizations in the areas of search and recruitment of executive and artistic leadership. Clients include major symphony orchestras, opera companies, performing arts presenters, festivals, and educational institutions. As a professional musician, Mr. Wingert continues to perform and teach in and around Washington, DC. He recently served as Music Director of the 2024 Helen Hayes Awards, produced by Theatre Washington. Other recent professional credits include music direction and performance at Signature Theatre, Round House Theatre, and American University. He was an adjunct faculty member of the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Mary Washington from 2005 - 2018. A volunteer instructor at Sitar Arts Center since 2005, he joined Sitar's Board of Directors in 2019 where he happily serves on the DEIB, Ambassadorship, Gala, and Personnel Committees and was a member of the recent Strategic Planning Committee.
