Project management using the PMI framework for Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield's Enterprise Business Intelligence - data warehouse and analytics division.

As a result of Health Care Reform, Arkansas Blue Cross is working to implement many initiatives to improve access to healthcare and eliminate waste in the health care system. To that end, my team examines membership and claims data to: build processes, inform executive decisions, give insight to contracted health care providers on performance metrics, and provide business reporting for various areas of the enterprise.

Main responsibilities as a business analyst were to elicit requirements from the software users and/or stakeholders and work with programming staff to build, test and deploy software or process solutions.

Answered questions from members or health care providers regarding claim status, membership benefits, payment/billing questions and assess accuracy regarding claims processing errors.

In February 2017 on the iOs platform I launched a mobile software application called Drumfigurator, a product configurator for drummers and percussionists. The simple goal is to allow drummers to share the visual layout and technical details of drumset components.This project was the result of real-world challenges experienced in a previous job as a drum shop sales manager at Sigler Music. Most major brands / manufacturers of drums and cymbals have developed their own product configuration tool, but none of them are mobile and most are feature-heavy or difficult to use. The goal with Drumfigurator is to develop a tool that allows all components of a drumkit (not just drums, or just cymbals, etc.) and make it easy for users to share the configuration via typical methods such as SMS/MMS, email, and eventually social media. Version 1 of the app was received well by all types of drummers from professionals to weekend gigging drummers and the social media following is just under 2,000 followers on Instagram as of July 2018. As work is underway on version 2, I hope to expand the capabilities to reach a broader user base and add real product images and integrations by the end of 2018.
