While serving USGBC as Senior Fellow, I utilized my professional background in institutional real estate finance to foster and strengthen the growing relationships between the green building and investment communities leading to the acquisition of GRESB. This included playing an outsized role in feature development for USGBC’s Green Building Information Gateway (GBIG.org), designed as a global platform for green building insights and innovation. GBIG sought to refine competitive transactional markets by increasing transparency on key asset attributes, reducing capital market information asymmetry. These efforts laid necessary groundwork to further unite the investment community with the green building stakeholder base. Additional contributions included expert consulting advice in supporting USGBC’s efforts underpinning the National Academy of Sciences report that reviewed the U.S. Department of Defense’s use of green building rating systems, and reaffirmed the DoD's continued use of LEED.
