Socitm Advisory provides digital and ICT advisory services for the public sector and is the consultancy arm of the Socitm membership organisation. To date I've worked on a range of internal and client facing projects and currently lead Socitm Advisory's CSR team.Initially I took the lead on a number of internal projects including the development of our social media presence, managing our migration from G Suite to Office 365 and the development of an Intranet using SharePoint. Subsequently I worked with the Welsh Government to develop a digital maturity assessment tool using open source software. I was then given the opportunity to join the change teams at Croydon Council & Walsall Council supporting their delivery of Oracle Cloud.

The Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme is a highly acclaimed and competitive international exchange programme run by Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs that aims to improve English education across the country. - Worked as part of a team with an extremely demanding schedule that involved visiting 23 schools per month teaching English to over 2500 students from ages 4-15 with a range of abilities. - Elected as 'Block Leader' and organised bi-monthly events to promote community development amongst the 20 Foreign English teachers and local residents. - Created and managed a Facebook group to encourage the sharing of local knowledge, events & festivals. - Acted as project manager for the annual English Summer School. - Project managed the annual 3-day 'Surf Camp'. I attracted attendees from across Japan and increased participation from the previous year by 50%. - Created and managed a collaborative online resource of custom teaching materials shared amongst all Foreign and Japanese English teachers. - Worked collaboratively with Japanese English Teachers to design and implement an interim curriculum for Year 3 to manage a transition between textbooks. - Utilised my design skills to create my own teaching materials ensuring a consistent visual language to help students understand and learn. - Volunteered with a number of community organisations, including the Lions Club International. - Hosted travellers through the couch-surfing network and acted as a local guide.

Socitm is the professional membership body for digital and IT leaders who deliver services for public benefit. - Jointly responsible for managing a partnership with the Department of Health to spread best practice of around implementation of the Care Bill. - Project managed a comprehensive series of events and workshops across England that saw 300+ attendees. This included organising 2 flagship conferences and 7 workshops for which I was responsible for logistics, marketing and collecting output. - Live Streamed the conferences and workshops to increase their potential reach and allowed those who couldn’t attend in person to view the sessions. - Utilised innovative live & interactive audience participation tools to collect output and organised responses being built into a report. - Transitioned to support the supplier partnership programme by developing offerings and generating leads. - Organised a lead-generating workshop which saw 100+ attendees and directly resulted in the signing of new clients, one of which I signed myself. - Took responsibility for running and building engagement on the company Twitter account. - Designed and implemented a growth strategy for the company Twitter account involving a mix of scheduled posting and rich-media content. After the first month of implementation we began to see steady follower growth and saw our tweet impressions double. - Created several 'whiteboard animation' videos to promote Socitm events and services.
