Secretariat to the Implementation Taskforce on Growing a Culture of Social Impact Investing in the UK (on behalf of DCMS). Provided stakeholder management and operational support in setting up and launching the new Government-backed Impact Investing Institute.

Election Agent for John Savage, the independent candidate for West of England Metro Mayor, working as part of the core campaign team alongside the candidate and campaign manager - as agent, I was also legally and financially responsible for the whole campaign.Key responsibilities of the role included:Policy and strategy: worked with the campaign manager and candidate to set the political narrative for the campaign and develop key policy messages.Campaign management: direct engagement with electoral services and other stakeholders, co-ordination of advertising, leaflet production and delivery, and other campaign activities.Budgeting and financial management: developed a budget, tracked donations and coordinated fundraising for the campaign, accounted for all expenses, and processed all payments related to the campaign.Website and social media management: produced and developed content for the campaign website, management of social media channels - including content schedule and analysis of page statistics - and control of a digital marketing budget.

A fixed-term role working for the West of England Initiative in Business West - a business leadership team which facilitates active, positive engagement of the business community in regional governance. I worked in a policy advisory role focusing on the West of England devolution agreement and 2017 Metro Mayor elections.I was responsible for producing the following pieces of work:A Guide to Devolution, Metro Mayors and the West of England: report outlining and evaluating the West of England devolution deal, and comparing the role of Metro Mayors in city regions across England. The report gives a comparative assessment of the approach taken, the level of responsibility and amount of budgetary control in each city region.A Business Challenge and Manifesto for the West of England Mayor: produced though qualitative research, based around interviews with a variety of business leaders and key stakeholders in the West of England region. These interviews were analysed thematically and transformed into a detailed policy challenge for the incoming Metro Mayor (the Business Challenge). This Business Challenge was then distilled into a 10 point Business Manifesto, aimed at a wider audience and used to highlight the business agenda for devolution in the region.

Project researching the scope and potential for a 'West of England Fund' in partnership with Business West and PwC. The fund is intended to act as a strategic pot of money which is resilient, able to withstand high risk, and can therefore be used to invest in more innovative social enterprises which would find it difficult to secure mainstream capital investment. Produced a report and presented findings to BBRC's strategy group.
