About Wayne Williams
Wayne is a freelance Voiceover artist and available to provide vocal talents when required. He has worked in media and comedy production for many years, culminating in hours of live broadcasting on-air to performing in front of live audiences across the Country.Wayne can take vocal direction and self-direction whilst applying versatility to each project. His recording schedule is flexible as he can use a home studio set. He can also travel to meet any client needs within 24 to 48 hours’ notice, depending on location.Wayne honed his public speaking whilst at High School taking GCSE Drama and being the School DJ. From 1993 to 95 he moved to radio, taking on the Presenter & Film Critic roles on YFM, a Community Radio Station in Cheshire.In 1999/2000, Wayne returned to Community Radio for 2 broadcasts under Witch FM. Once again, he could multitask driving such shows as the fast-moving Saturday Sports. Wayne also hosted his own Saturday Night Dance show, Merge @ Witch FM which showcased the best in local DJ & Musical talent and mixes from 2 resident DJs.In 2007, Wayne produced “Stand Up and Be Counted”. The 24-hour show, in aid of Comic Relief, spanned the whole of Red Nose Day from Midnight to Midnight and showcased over 117 Comedians & Comedy Performers, and special guests. The show was a success and raised thousands of pounds for RND07.Between 2008 and 2010, Wayne founded “LOL! Manchester” a local comedy guide and production house. The online guide to comedy in Manchester featured interviews, reviews, and what’s on. The production side brought live comedy to the Manchester Museum. In 2010, Wayne curated a third of shows across three venues taking part in the Manchester Comedy Festival, including the Festival’s closing party that year.After 11 years of working in IT, Project Management, and embracing Fatherhood, Wayne is back.
