I was a Graphic Designer at Vanguard Direct from April 2007 to July 2023. I have over 20 years experience working at several ad agencies designing ads, logos, and various printed materials. I've also won awards for newspaper ads and direct mail campaigns.I consider myself a one-man band; I have produced ad concepts and occasionally written copy and headlines for them; my illustrations, both hand-drawn and computer-generated, have been used in ad campaigns and other mediums; and I have worked as a high-end professional retoucher from time to time. At Vanguard, I designed for a variety of clients including the Department of Homeless Services, the Department of Education, the Board of Elections, HHC, and CUNY. My goal is to continue producing work that not only satisfies client needs, but exceeds their expectations. One of my trademarks is producing agency quality work with limited budget and even less time. I have also given seminars to the creative department covering topics such as typography and logo design, as well as writing articles for Vanguard's blog. I spent most of my higher education abroad and graduated with honors earning a Masters Degree in Art History from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.Specialties: I am highly Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat. I also use Word, Excel, and Enfocus Pitstop Pro to repair or modify print-ready PDFs.
