The training incurred during this fellowship includes extensive work with polymer synthesis, characterization via light scattering, and computational molecular modeling. The goal of this research is to obtain the experience and data necessary to abstract physicochemical properties into empirical formulae describing drug loading capacity into polymeric drug delivery vehicles. -

Used numerous spectroscopy and microscopy techniques to characterize and validate experimental syntheses and particle function. Presented this research at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society and the UNC Charlotte Summer Research Symposium. Presentation included abstract publication, with journal publication in submission. -
