I am a sheet metal worker that took a querious turn. After working hard in the sheet metal trade for two years I herniated a disc in my back, requiring surgical intervention. While recovering from surgery, before I could return to persuading electrons, I discovered that I have a knack for learning code when I completed a course about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. After consulting with friends in the industry I came to the conclusion that data analysis is the way for me, and after some brief research I discovered relational databases and SQL are a must. Now, as part of a project required by the SQL Nanodegree through Udacity, I have created a data base schema following specific business rules AND migrated the existing data through insert statements followed by tasty queries. Right now I am working on learning about non-relational databases like MongoDB and Redis.
