Trained the program’s Legislative Director on the state legislative system and process, the profiles of the state legislature, lobbying strategy, and student issues.

The Director of Legislative Affairs oversees the administration and operation of the Office of Student Legislative Affairs (OSLA), develops and implements the annual Legislative Agenda and Guiding Principles, and ensures the OSLA effectively advocates on behalf of the students of Bellevue College in local, state, and federal governance. The Executive Director is responsible for decision-making, budget expenditures, and hiring. The Director is also responsible for legislative strategy, building a team oriented culture, and determining the long-term direction of the organization. This position is filled by, and is accountable to, the students of Bellevue College.
