Lead of the Yard Automation Product Market Combination (PMC): Within TNO’s Integrated Vehicle Safety (IVS) department four PMCs are purchased. I am in charge of the PMC Yard Automation that supports logistic and industrial companies to automate outdoor movement of cargo using vehicles and development of valet parking applications. Within the PMC, technologies regarding localization, path planning, motion control, environmental perception and safety are developed. As one of my PMC lead tasks I also lead the propositions localization and distributed responsibilities and control for the department.Senior system integrator and Technical lead: Leading the technical part of the acquisition and project execution for several projects. This includes communication with the customers, team organization and guiding the technical development process.Team lead Operational Functional Safety (OFS) (not active): As the lead of a team of experts in the field of safety I was responsible for the team organization, work planning, coaching of team members and facilitated the roadmap definition and execution.Knowledge retention: To enable structural knowledge retention within the department I led an initiative to develop a process for knowledge retention which is currently being implemented. Safety related tasks: Led the practical implementation of the ISO26262 in the development environment and provided consultancy in the area of safety of vehicle systems. Development engineer (currently consultancy only): Developing novel hydraulic, electronic and mechanical systems for automotive industry. This involved the whole development cycle: simulation, laboratory tests, vehicle tests, results analysis and concept improvement.

Assignment: TNO Automotive Helmond: Department Integrated Vehicle Safety, cluster concept development. As a concept development engineer, I was member of a team that developed new system concepts for automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) and suppliers. In small, agile project teams new concepts were developed and knowledge transferred to customers. For electric, hydraulic and mechanical systems I developed high detail dynamic simulation models, test setups including test software, system control software and performed real-life system testing. Iteratively these new concepts were improved to meet the customers performance requirements. This work resulted in several patents.
