While working as a congressional intern for Representative Cresent Hardy in his Washington, D.C. office, I aided the Congressman's staff with legislative research, voting recommendations, hearing attendance and summary, and constituent communications, all with a focus on Natural Resources issues. My experiences have added to my understanding of the policy that shapes much of the Natural Resources and Energy sectors in the country. It is vital ensure that we understand the science behind the policies that regulate some of the largest industries in the country.

I worked as an exploration geology intern at the Cortez Hills mine site. During my internship I completed a project within a target area that further elucidated the igneous phase relationships present. While I worked for Barrick, I was exposed to soil sampling, core and RC logging, mapping, sampling, geochemical analyses using a portable XRF, petrological characterizations, acQuire mine site software, and corporate data reporting and presentation.
