I am an extremely adaptable Human Resources professional with a specialty in adult learning theories and people development. Over the years, I have accrued a vast number of skills and experience working with Deli Management Inc’s Training and Development department, SIGVARIS GROUP's Marketing department and Valdosta State University's Human Resources department. I have also championed my own initiatives to improve the onboarding and training processes, budget spending via cost-out analysis, and improvement of organizational environment. I developed a student-run and faculty-supported consulting firm for student workers to aid in matching students with university positions that can offer transferable skills and increase retention rates of student workers. The purpose of the consulting firm is to create applicable experience for I-O students while assisting faculty, staff, and students align career goals with job responsibilities. This consulting firm, known as Azalea Consulting, has developed into a full-fledged consulting firm that services South Georgia and is currently working with university departments and city governments to improve employee retention rates by 30% in most cases.I have conducted months of research on best practices for onboarding new employees with fellow classmates and have successfully identified job competencies within specific job families to design a new performance management system for Valdosta State University. Upon implementation of the new system, I assisted in developing training programs and teaching mid- and upper-level management the necessary skills to use the new system to its fullest potential. My current interests are talent retention, people development, organizational change, and performance management improvement. I am interested in using my skills and knowledge to formulate innovative solutions to aid organizations during periods of growth and development.
