Articulated more than 5000 courses.• Oversaw an expansion of programming that led EIU to consistently rank as the top sending Master’s institution in Illinois.• Added two full-time coordinators, two graduate assistants, several peer advisors, and a cohort of study abroad ambassadors to my team.• Convinced the Council on Academic Affairs to heighten the academic rigor of study abroad by changing it from transfer credit to university credit, with grades and GPA calculation.• Created a Study Abroad Capstone course and linked it to the university-wide plan for assessment of student learning in citizenship, writing, speaking, and critical thinking. • Convinced the Council on Academic Affairs to make this study abroad capstone course (with a prerequisite of study abroad), an optional replacement for the senior seminar requirement of the undergraduate curriculum.• Secured over $100,000 in student scholarships and faculty development grants. -
