With over 30 years of experience in the Department of Defense, I am a senior executive and a quantitative analyst who leads teams to solve complex and high-impact problems using data science, business analytics, and data visualization. I am an expert in the Department's Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process having worked on issues that span that continuum. As the Deputy Director in Army Program Analysis and Evaluation, I provide executive management and assist the Director in leading, developing, balancing, and defending the Army Program Objective Memorandum (POM) across the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP). Through independent assessment, integration and synchronization, I provide strategic resource allocation recommendations to achieve Army, Department of Defense (DoD), and United States national security objectives.In my previous assignment, I served as the Deputy Director of Staff, Office of the Chief of Space Operations, United States Space Force. In this position, I provided executive management, oversight, guidance, and direction for the Space staff in support of the U.S. Space Force mission, programs, and administrative operations. I implemented key processes across budget, HR, security, correspondence and facility management to build and enable a 600-person Headquarters staff to fulfill Title 10 functions expected of a Military Service staff.I have a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School, and multiple certifications in data analysis, databases, and Python from Coursera. I am passionate about using data to solve tough business problems and my goal is to democratize data literacy across the organization. I have also demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills, delivering data-driven and defensible reports for Congress, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and two Military Services.I thrive under pressure and my Hawaii roots keep me grounded.
