I am a Centre for Doctoral Training in Sustainable Management of UK Marine Resources (CDT SuMMeR) postgraduate researcher based at Orkney Campus, Heriot-Watt University. I graduated from Bachelor of Science with Honours in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence in the First Class from The University of Nottingham and Master of Science in Data Science for Cultural Heritage with Merit from University College London. I am a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers, a Guild Brother of Incorporation of Wrights in Glasgow, a Freeman Citizen of Glasgow, a member of Incorporation of Bonnetmakers and Dyers of Edinburgh, a member of City Livery Club, a Data Science Professional awarded by The Alliance for Data Science Professionals, a member of the IET (MIET), a Professional Member of the British Computer Society, a Full Member of the Institution of Analysts and Programmers, a Professional Member of the Marine Biological Association, an Associate Fellow of Advance HE, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors and a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP). I hold a certificate in Educational Assessment and a Diploma in Educational Assessment from the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors. I am also a non-solicitor member of the Marine Law Sub-committee of The Law Society of Scotland, the Early Career Advocate and a Committee Member of the BCS Open Source SG, the Early Career Advocate and a Committee Member of the BCS ICT Ethics SG, a Committee Member of the IET Scotland North Network, a member of PhD & ECR Committee, Scottish Universities Life Science Alliance, and a QEPrize Ambassador.I was a trustee of The John Rae Society, from 2022 Nov to 2023 Oct, and their webmaster from 2022 June to 2023 Oct. I am now a trustee of Orkney Zerowaste. I am the winner of Principal’s Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community 2023, awarded by Heriot-Watt University Student Union and a Student Member of the Parliament of Heriot-Watt University Student Union.
