I am a professional who enjoys learning, researching, and evaluating instructional next steps, all practices borne out of my extensive experiences as a classroom teacher. I stay up to date on instructional best practices. I research high-quality assessment and workshop structures that support both a gradual-release model and an inquiry approach to literacy.I am a reflective practitioner who leads. I coach students to think critically, self-assess their academic life and establish goals to continue to grow as a learner. The high-interest level of collaboration and academic learning in my classroom instruction could best be summarized as authentic and student driven.
