Björn Wyrich has managed the production of a computer game simulation for the Science Year 2010 (http://www.zukunft-der-energie.de/) initiated by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The target audience for the learning game is children and teenagers. The aim of the game is for them to organize the energy supply of a fictitious land, to succeed they need to learn the complexity of the cause and effect of their decisions. The German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Research Center Jülich (FZ Jülich) are supporting the modeling of the games logic which adapts real facts of the German power economy.Björn Wyrich has more than 15 years of practical knowledge in the planning and realization of interactive computer applications. He has realized scientific software projects for the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC), the Research Center Jülich (FZ Jülich) and the Berlin institution for central health tasks (BBGes).During the early nineties he studied electro technical engineering at the RWTH Aachen University. When he had completed his pre-degree he dedicated himself to the upcoming internet and multimedia sector. Later he graduated at the Austrian Johannes Kepler University (JKU) Linz. For his master project under the patronage of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) he received his title as an Academic Expert for Accessible Web Design.His additional interest is the understanding of swarm intelligence and collective behavior and how we can learn from these very special forms of biological self organization. With Loren Carpenter's unique computer system Cinematrix® that he continually developed over many years it is possible to demonstrate that large groups of human individuals can interact the same way as birds, bees and fish do. Björn Wyrich has brought it to many events world-wide. Amongst others he has shown it live at the World Economic Forum 2008.
