X. Alexander Durden is an award winning performing artist and writer working across the opera, film, voiceover and live theatre mediums. He has performed in concert and recital around the United States and abroad in such distinguished venues as Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center (NYC), Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre and Oxford University, as well as throughout Canada, Puerto Rico, Bermuda and the United Kingdom. He has also added his name to the rosters of The Atlanta Opera Company, Americolor Opera Company, Capitol City Opera Company, and Michigan Opera Theatre/Detroit Opera. He recently made his debut at Spoleto Festival USA. Select film and theatrical credits include Virginia Repertory Theatre's tour of Buffalo Soldier and Spike Lee's Red Hook Summer. Regionally, He has also been seen as Everybody/Somebody (Everybody), Henry (Next to Normal), Jose (Man of La Mancha), Seaweed (Hairspray), Montparnasse (Les Miserables), Angel (Rent), Chip (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Adam/Noah (Children of Eden).In addition to performance, X.
