With 6 years of experience in the NYC Community Composting community I'm passionate about engaging with the public while making a resource for the planet. I've led compost volunteers, workshops, site tours, and public presentations in programs at GrowNYC, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Red Hook Compost Site, LES Ecology Center, and Big Reuse in partnership with Red Hook Farms. In my most recent role was to manage a team of site operators over three locations in Brooklyn and Queens to process upwards of 2 million pounds of organic waste with the help of skid steers, mechanical screeners, Gore covers, ASP blowers, box trucks, and extensive time leading volunteers or staff using hand tools.As a manager of Red Hook Compost Site from Summer of 2020 -January 2024, I partnered with Red Hook Farms to lead upwards of 1,200 volunteer per year for public programming and Master Composter Certification Field Trips/Volunteer Events on a 20,000 sq/ft fossil fuel free compost in Brooklyn, NY.
