I’m a Mozambican innovator, entrepreneur, creative thinker and a doer. I have more than 15 years of work experience and have worn many hats in my journey.I’ve started my career in Portugal, working for Millennium BCP where I developed solutions for their internet banking channel, and I was part of the team that developed Activobank - Portugal's first digital bank. After a few years I switched to Sinfic, where I helped develop IT solutions for municipalities in Portugal and for the Angolan government.After 2010 I came back to Mozambique, embraced my creative side and co-founded Anima, a creative studio that works in the cross-section of design, audiovisual and technology, where I was Managing Partner for 7 years. During this period, I helped devise communication strategies and digital solutions to help change policy, behavior and create real social impact in Mozambique. I had the pleasure to work with institutions such as the World Bank, Unicef, UK Aid, EU, ILO, CFM, the Ministries of Sea, Education and Land and private companies such as ENI, Anadarko, ABinBev, Nando’s and many more.In 2019 I embarked on a new challenge. I founded VOID, a tech startup that aims to tackle the emerging challenges of the african continent, particularly in the urban context.We conceived UBI, a platform that connects people to their city, to local businesses, events and transportation, which is comprised of an ecosystem of apps and interactive kiosks placed in Maputo's busy avenues.With VOID, I’ve been specializing in e-commerce, loyalty & rewards and fintech. We’re about to launch a new and innovate L&R product to help boost local businesses and in the upcoming months I will launch a Digital bank bringing a revolutionizing new banking experience to Africa.In these two years VOID has been selected to represent Mozambique in the international fair ITU 2019 in Hungary, we’ve been one of the startups selected from the Challenge of 1000 by AFD from France and most recently we we’re one of the 15 selected startups from all of Africa for the Seedstars and SAIS IRP Program. I’m also passionate about design and spaces so recently I’ve decided to transform this passion into a new business – Haum – a furniture studio that creates locally produced furniture inspired by my country.
