As a Researcher and Lab Manager at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), I have over nine years of experience in conducting and managing materials engineering projects in collaboration with industry sponsors and academic partners. My mission is to advance the understanding and application of materials for high-performance and sustainable engineering solutions.My core competencies include mechanical property testing, data analysis, microstructure characterization, failure analysis, metallographic analysis, heat treatment, and machining. I have published multiple papers on fatigue and creep behavior of Al and Ni alloys, and I am currently working on microstructure optimization and mechanical properties enhancement of Ti alloys. I also oversee the maintenance and operation of the lab equipment ( Various metallographic specimen preparation instruments, mechanical testing machines, wire EDM, heat treatment furnaces, optical microscopes, etc.) and train new users on the best practices and safety protocols. I enjoy learning new skills and sharing my knowledge as I develop my career.
