- Merged the company's 2 individual VPN services into a single, geographically centralised VPN service on AWS, which resulted in a simpler, more manageable system.- Introduced a self-service portal, for authorised users to retrieve their own VPN certificates securely from anywhere in the world, which vastly improved the user experience.- Designed and developed dynamic web applications in an array of languages.- Assisted with the day to day operations and Maintainenance of the IT infrastructure. - Developed software to automatically convert 30TB of files on a Unix ext2 file server (with openLDAP for fine-grained access control) from Unix permissions to an NTFS file store on a NetApp filer. The application retained all existing ownership information and rewrote the individual ACLs to match the new Active Directory domain. Due to capacity limitations (and not enough of a budget to expand the capacity), this conversion had to be executed on live data, so it was crucial that everything went smoothly. The conversion worked very well, and resulted in a large majority of the data being automatically updated without an issue. Erroneous files were primarily Linux lock files (created when a file is opened in read-write mode), and could be safely deleted.

- Developed and maintained a unique, dynamic, project and corporate management system to assist companies to perform day to day activities ranging from project management to time-sheet tracking, to financial management & reporting, using Ruby on Rails, JQuery, and MongoDB.- Designed and implemented the underlying cloud architecture for this application, using AWS.- Create and Maintain documentation and user-based test cases for internally developer applications.

I currently liaise with clients to discuss their requirements, develop schedules to ensure on-time project delivery, work as part of a small team (of between 2 and 4 photographers) to photograph larger events (such as weddings, etc), and manage & assist "employees" to ensure successful work completion.
