In the role of Lead Planner, in addition to the responsibilities of Planning Manager which I retained, I took on 2 further challenges: Improving resource management of projects using planning tools (including implementation of process and guidelines), and the coaching of Graduate and Trainee planners in the team, required to fulfil the businesses specific planning needs.

I was responsible for prioritising the workload of the team, increasing the efficiency by standardising work and reports produced, overseeing overall plan quality and line management of employees including performance reviews, escalations and team meetings. The role also involved direct communication with senior management in programme board meetings.I managed the team through a period of digital transformation and change, using it as a vehicle to simplify the ways of working and increase effectiveness by leveraging the new tools being introduced, and feeding back to the transformation team, shaping the course of the programme. Upon completion of the 2-year graduate scheme I was promoted to Programme Planner. This was possible due to my solid understanding of the technical solutions being implemented which I leveraged in conjunction with my strong planning skillset and rigor. Furthermore a dedicated installation team enables the completion of the systems to the highest standard.During my time in Photon Energy as an Assistant Project Engineer, my responsibilities involved the initial design of the PV systems, quoting of the system, and preparation of any required tender documents. I was also responsible for managing projects under the supervision of a Project Manager, Senior Project Manager or the Engineering Director. This included budgeting, resource allocation and customer meetings. An integral part of this role was good client liaison skills to provide designs that all parties were happy with, organizational skills were also important to ensure site teams were provided with all the information they needed to carry out their job effectively and in a safe manner.My educational background allowed me to take on further responsibilities and I had sole ownership of producing the PV system output simulations for the company using programs such as PVSyst and PVSOL (PV Modeling Software). The role involved promoting brand awareness, and also offering help and advice on any Microsoft related questions and issues, including: Office, Networking, Windows OS's (8 and Phone), and emails among others. I received an additional award for my blog on Windows 8 during my time performing this role.
