I lucked into technology. As a UCLA Communications grad interviewing for an entry job into the tech industry, I was told it would be challenging to go into an industry that was always changing and would keep me on my toes. I knew nothing about technology and I accepted the challenge. So started my learning curve of the ever-changing technology world. Beginning at a tech start-up company, I got to cover an endless stream of new technologies and had the opportunity to work with dynamic, innovative leaders and passionate customers who were willing step into unknown terrains. I had to absorb ideas quickly, analyze their impact on businesses and communicate what would be the value proposition to customers, partners, stakeholders and team members. I loved it. All of it. The constant new thing, the daily learning curve, the pace of change, distilling and sharing. Transitioning over to the manufacturer side brought the added challenge of learning the nuances. I thrived and wanted to continue to grow so I kept pushing myself to think outside the box when it came to new challenges.I was invited into tech through luck and I’ve stayed because I sincerely enjoy the innovative possibilities and interacting with a diversity of people in the industry. Quite frankly, I love challenges and helping people find creative ways to resolve issues. So if you are looking for someone who is passionate about helping others, here I am.
