Since beginning the investing journey in 1998, we have finally reached a stage where we can comfortably retire. What we want people to know is that we got here after losing a lot of money in the GFC, having a failed startup business and without winning a lottery. It was just through working "normal jobs", and investing.Working a job IMHO is underrated. It is one way to get very wealthy. It is one of the best way to leverage capital. It gives security - because if your ventures fail, you are really not worse off than anyone else that has a job.I want to hand off some of the things I have learned over the past few decades - what worked, what didn't. I cannot say with any certainty that what we did would work again - in fact I doubt it - BUT I want to sow the idea of "thinking outside the box" of living the "standard life" - a life of school, uni, job, retirement (with pension) and death. I think we all should aim to be more than that.
