I am a curious individual who constantly seeks out new opportunities to expand my experience and expertise. Over the past four years, I have developed a keen interest in environmental issues at national, regional, and international levels, and I am eager to further pursue this passion.For two years, between 2020 and 2022, I organised weekly cleanup sessions, open to the public, fostering a sense of community and collective responsibility for environmental stewardship. These weekly cleanups have not only removed significant amounts of waste from both urban locations and beaches but have also inspired countless individuals to take action and adopt more sustainable practices.In my roles as Cleanup Facilitator for Seastainable and Co-Lead of the East Coast Beach Plan Initiative, I was able to actively participate in activities and conversations relating to sustainability & environmentalism. These include community organising, advocating for cleaner environments & Singapore's frontline cleaner workforces, appearing in various state media coverages, and connecting with other individuals & organisations in the 'green' space. Besides being an environmental advocate, I emphasise the value of community building and actively connect various organisations and individuals together in the spirit of civic engagement.Currently, I am the Chief Stridy Officer at Stridy, which is a not-for-profit that focusses on tackling waste management issues worldwide, such as littering. With the use of the Stridy app, individuals or organisations can track their impact when they take part in cleanup activities. At Stridy, I've been able to scale my impact in improving environmental cleanliness and building communities.
