Led project to prevent downtime by standardizing instances and servers, updating the software stack, and reducing complexity of the software stack. This cut down the amount of downtime as well as greatly reduced the effort needed by DevOps to manage and provision new infrastructure.● Architected, designed, and led a new initiative for real time streaming architecture. By moving the application from a monolithic, stateful, and complex architecture to using technologies like Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Cassandra, I was able to create a microservice platform that will handle company growth in the form of data throughput and features well into the future.● Worked in concert with DevOps to create a continuous deployment and integration framework for the cloud backend applications, reducing deployment time and mostly eliminating manual intervention. Decoupled the application into different repositories, standardized the use of Maven and unit testing, and documented the workflows which reduced developing time by almost a third and prevented costly production errors.● Developed a new REST API using Spring Boot and Maven.
