At lift I empowered families to break the cycle of poverty by providing coaching to 10-20 parents to support their achievement of career, financial, and educational goals. I also conducted follow-up research on behalf of parents on topics relevant to their goals. I Participated actively in daily meetings with LIFT staff and fellow coaches. I also assisted staff in the recruitment of new parents into the program and supported the retention of parents through regular phone calls and emails. I provided regular upward feedback to LIFT's Program Team to improve the design and effectiveness of LIFT's coaching program. I provided short-term resource assistance to parents who are not currently eligible for coaching. I maintained accurate files/records and document services to parents in LIFT's online case management system.

I met with elementary students in grades PK-5 at PS. 274, The New American Academy at Roberto Clemente State Park to provide individual counseling sessions and group counseling sessions. I also conducted parent assessments, classroom observations, engaged in classroom push-ins and provided crisis intervention to better support students.

Working as a PCT I received and prioritized incoming calls from the public in regards to crimes, fires and medical emergencies. I also provided rapid police, fire, and ambulance services. I was trained to question the caller to determine nature of the call and then enter information given into ICAD. I communicated with other agencies in order to better assist police and the general public. As police communication technicians we were trained to handle incidents of high-stress and make immediate decisions.
