Protein and Analytical Science

Using molecular, biochemical, and -omics methods to study insect immune system, specifically worked on serine protease cascade and prophenoloxidase activation system in the circulating system of tobacco hornworm, Manduca sexta.Techniques: molecular cloning, protein expression, protein purification, protein analytics, ELISA, mass spec, enzyme kinetics, proteomics, protein-protein reaction, basic bioinformatic analysis,Published over ten paper in this field.

Successfully finished 9 projects in two months. Mainly worked on protein sciences and reagent manufacturing. including recombinant protein/enzyme expression, purification (antibody), QC, and activity assay. Hands on experience on mammalian cell culture (Hela, Jurkat), thaw and freeze, cell assay, and flow cytometry (FACS). Also learned documentation in a biotech company.

My responsibilities include molecular cloning, protein expression and detection.
