My academic research has primarily focused on enzyme discovery, characterization, and engineering to gain insight into their mechanism for industrial use via newly developed biocatalytic pathways. More recently, I transitioned to the private sector where I developed and optimized enzymatic assays in conjunction with biophysical techniques to understand small-molecule inhibitors mode of action and assess their binding affinity, to support SAR studies in collaboration with the medicinal chemistry team.Through the course of my career, I successfully established and applied a variety of enzyme characterization techniques including stability and binding assays as well as enzyme kinetics and product analysis. In addition, I possess extensive experience and knowledge in protein cloning, production, and purification for a wide range of targets. I also acquired a solid experience in protein engineering via rational design, random mutagenesis and directed evolution.Moreover, within my various lab experiences I was responsible of several projects for which reports were due on a regular basis; therefore, I am accustomed to scientific reporting in both French and English. These diverse projects allowed me to work across multidisciplinary teams, which enabled different and particularly innovative and complementary approaches. Being involved in these various projects while mentoring students at the same time taught me how to prioritize tasks along with managing time and people efficiently.
