Simillar duties are peformed remotely for my team in the Americas.Post-mortem review of high impacting incidents where key findings and preventatives are documented, reported to management and preventatives are implemented.Part of a specialised task team to resolve complex scalable issues when COVID hit, the transactional load grew four times in a very short space of time.Implemented inovative in-house monitoring solution with our Monitoring Core team for SQL using data streaming into Elastic pushed our alerting tool.POC'ed concepts like moving our SQL servers to a Linux platform as well as implementing other emerging Database technologies.Technical Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain the performance (performance tuning) of Internal and Production Database servers within the company SLA.Diagnose and troubleshoot SQL Server service outages as they occur, with an emphasis on effective communication, Route cause analysis and solution tracking.Ensure all Database backup strategy meets the business’s RPO and RTO.Create and manage Database Projects, Reports and Documentation, visualizations, and dashboards when required.Team ManagementEnsures that the team is appropriately resourced and members are equipped with the requisite skill set required for both current and future projects.Facilitates mentoring and coaching, as required.Alignment with boards and standards across Derivco/Platform where applicable to product.Identifies and ensures that efficient processes and procedures are in place to meet objectives and that these are followed and regularly reviewed.Aligning product strategy with business, customers(internal and external) and technology through collaboration Show less
